Manage an automation series
Edit in CMSOnce an automation series is running, you can pause it, change templates, view performance metrics, and restart it for new subscribers.
Pause or Deactivate a Series
Section titled “Pause or Deactivate a Series”- Go to Automations and find the series you want to pause.
- Click the series name or the Settings / More menu.
- Click Deactivate, Pause, or Stop.
- Confirm your action.
- Existing subscribers in the series will not receive further messages, but their progress is preserved.
Reactivate or Resume a Series
Section titled “Reactivate or Resume a Series”- Go to Automations and locate the paused series.
- Click the series name or the Settings / More menu.
- Click Reactivate or Resume.
- Choose whether to restart existing subscribers or only apply to new subscribers going forward.
- Click Confirm to resume sending.
Edit or Change Templates
Section titled “Edit or Change Templates”- Open the automation series.
- Click on a message step or template.
- Click Edit to update the subject, body, or content.
- Save your changes.
- (Optional) Choose to apply changes only to new sends or to retest previous subscribers.
View Performance & Health
Section titled “View Performance & Health”- Open the automation series.
- Look for a Health, Performance, or Analytics tab.
- Review metrics such as:
- Sent — total messages sent
- Opens — subscribers who opened the message
- Clicks — subscribers who clicked a link
- Unsubscribes — subscribers who unsubscribed
- Bounces — delivery failures
- Errors — any issues encountered during sending
View Error Logs
Section titled “View Error Logs”- In the series details, look for Errors, Issues, or Logs.
- Click to expand and see specific failures or reasons messages were not sent.
- Use error details to troubleshoot and improve your series (e.g., invalid email addresses, template issues).
Restart a Series for New Subscribers
Section titled “Restart a Series for New Subscribers”- If you’ve paused the series and want new subscribers to start the automation fresh:
- Open the series and click Restart or Reactivate with fresh subscribers.
- Existing subscribers will not repeat; only new ones matching the trigger will enter the series.
Delete a Series
Section titled “Delete a Series”- Open the series and click Delete or the trash icon.
- Confirm—this action cannot be undone.
- All history and performance data for the series will be removed.
