What's new — week of Aug 24, 2026

Edit in CMS

Here’s what shipped this week.

  • Paste a YouTube link into a video block and the video’s title comes with it — switch on Import title and the name fills automatically the moment you paste, ready to edit or clear, and you can drag to place the title above or below the thumbnail.
  • Paste a Markdown document into a Markdown block and it becomes editable content: headings, paragraphs, images, lists, links, and formatting all arrive as native blocks you can keep working on.
  • Build a newsletter template by writing or pasting your own HTML — the editor shows it rendered exactly as it will send, drop in merge tags where you want curated content or promotions to fill, and the template reopens in the same code view whenever you want to edit it.
  • Import a Google Docs draft and choose to keep its fonts and colors instead of restyling it to match your template — a font the composer doesn’t offer falls back to the template’s own, and it’s a per-import choice rather than a saved setting.
  • Fill your curation library from any JSON API: register the feed once, map its fields to yours (reaching nested values where you need them), add a bearer token if the API requires one, and items flow in on the same schedule as RSS.
  • Set the spacing between the pieces of a curated story card — headline, excerpt, author, button — with a Component Gap control, separate from the existing gap between a story’s image and its text.
  • A sent newsletter’s report gains an Opens by hour card showing the three days after send as a day-by-hour grid with the busiest moment called out, and on the schedule step a line under the date field names the peak opening time for the audience you’ve picked, drawn from the last ten newsletters sent to it — both views appear only for newsletters Letterhead sends itself, not those sent through a connected provider.
  • Share a saved block with exactly the newsletters that need it: from your company block library pick which newsletters get the block, and their teams find it waiting in their own library, marked as shared from the company and ready to drop in.
  • Search your company’s automations list by pasting an automation’s ID — the search box now matches the automation’s name, its template, its channel, and its ID, and every automation shows that ID beneath its name so you can copy and paste it.
