Connect OptinMonster to capture signup leads

What this integration does

When you connect OptinMonster to Letterhead, leads captured through your OptinMonster campaigns can automatically flow into your Letterhead channels. This lets you grow your newsletter audience through OptinMonster’s popup, slide-in, and inline forms without manual imports.

Setting up the connection

  1. Go to Integrations in your Letterhead account and open the OptinMonster card.
  2. Choose which channel(s) new leads should be added to — or leave every channel selected so any channel you create later is automatically included — and decide whether new leads should be subscribed right away or just added.
  3. Select Create connection. Letterhead generates a webhook URL and signing secret, shown once.
  4. In OptinMonster, add a Webhook integration to your campaign and paste in that URL and signing secret.

Once you’ve pasted the credentials into OptinMonster, new leads from that campaign will appear in your chosen channels automatically.

Routing different campaigns to different channels

There’s no campaign picker inside Letterhead — each connection you create is one webhook URL tied to one set of channels. To send different OptinMonster campaigns to different Letterhead channels, create a separate connection here for each channel set, then point each campaign’s own Webhook integration at the matching connection’s URL. You can have as many connections as you need.

What happens to leads

Leads captured through OptinMonster are added as contacts on the channels you chose for that connection. If you turned on Subscribe new contacts, they’re subscribed right away and follow the same subscription rules as any other signup source — including any welcome automations or transactional emails you’ve configured for that channel. If you left it off, they’re added but not subscribed, so no welcome automation fires until you subscribe them yourself.
