Custom fields for curations
Edit in CMSCustom fields let you add structured metadata to curated items, making it easier to organize, tag, and filter content within your Curations library.
Create custom fields
Section titled “Create custom fields”Custom fields are typically defined at the curation or library level.
- Navigate to Dynamic Content > Curations (TODO: confirm exact navigation path).
- Select the curation or library where you want to add custom fields.
- Look for a Settings, Fields, or Metadata option (TODO: confirm exact label and location).
- Click Add Field or Create New Field.
- Enter a field name (e.g., “Topic”, “Source”, “Reading Level”).
- Select the field type (text, dropdown, date, checkbox, etc.) (TODO: confirm available field types).
- Click Save to add the field.
Apply custom fields to curated items
Section titled “Apply custom fields to curated items”Once custom fields are defined, you can populate them for individual items.
- Open a curation and select an item from the library.
- Scroll to the custom fields section.
- Enter or select values for each custom field (TODO: confirm if fields are required or optional).
- Save your changes.
Filter by custom fields
Section titled “Filter by custom fields”Use custom fields to quickly find and organize related items.
- In your Curations view, look for a Filter or Search option.
- Filter by custom field values to display only items matching your criteria.
- Save filter presets for frequently used combinations (TODO: confirm if filter presets are available).
