View suppression status and reasons on a contact profile
Edit in CMSEach contact profile includes a Suppressions section showing every newsletter the contact is suppressed from and the reason for each suppression, so you can answer deliverability questions without leaving the profile.
What you’ll see
Section titled “What you’ll see”- Newsletter name — which publication the contact can’t receive.
- Reason — why they were suppressed, with the specific bounce details shown when a bounce caused the suppression.
- Suppressed date — when the contact was removed from that newsletter, shown with the subscription information.
- Undeliverable warning — if a hard bounce has made the address undeliverable everywhere, the profile shows a warning, and permanently undeliverable addresses appear as a single “suppressed everywhere” entry rather than one entry per newsletter.
How suppressions work across newsletters
Section titled “How suppressions work across newsletters”When an email address hard-bounces, the contact is suppressed from every newsletter they were subscribed to — the profile reflects the current state across all your publications, not just one newsletter at a time. The list is also reconciled daily against the email provider’s suppression records, so it stays in sync with reality.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Audience Profile Activity Log — bounces also appear in the contact’s activity timeline with mail-server reasons.
- Working in Audience — everything else you can do on the Audience page.
