Managing Your Curation Library

Edit in CMS

Letterhead lets you gather and organize dynamic content in your Curations Library. Here, you can store, review, and insert articles into your newsletters. You can populate your library via RSS feeds, the Letterhead Browser Extension, the Letterhead API, or manually on the Curations page. By keeping your Curations Library up to date, you can leverage automated publishing in Letterhead.

A curation item includes properties such as image, title, website name, original URL, excerpt, tags, source, and publication date. Excerpts are automatically cleaned to plain text, with any stray formatting from the original page stripped away for consistent display. You can use the following controls to find and organize your content:

  • Search by title

  • Filter by status: Curated or Not Curated

  • Filter by publication date: Choose upcoming days or specify a range

  • Filter by feed source: RSS Feed of origin

  • Filter by website name

  • Filter by tags

  • Filter by source type: RSS Feeds, Browser Extension, or API (labeled “Application”)

  • Sort by published date: Click the Published column header

  • Curate/Uncurate: Click the ❤️ icon to toggle. Only curated articles are available for the Curations block in your newsletter.

  • Delete a curation: Use delete sparingly. If you plan to re-add the same article URL later, simply uncurate instead of deleting.

To update an existing curation:

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Newsletters > Curations.

  2. Use search or filters to locate your item.

  3. Click the curation to open the side panel.

  4. Edit any of the following fields directly in the panel:

    • Image: Upload a new file or paste an image URL.

    • Title

    • Website name

    • Original URL

    • Excerpt

    • Tags

💡 Tip

You can also update curations via the API using the Update Curations endpoint

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Newsletters > Curations.

  2. Click Add content.

  3. In the side panel, enter the following details:

    • Image: Upload or paste a URL

    • Title

    • Website name

    • Original URL

    • Excerpt

    • Tags

  4. Click Add

We’ve added the ability to tag Curations (from RSS feeds, the Browser Extension, or websites) directly in the Curations Library Table. You can now add existing tags or create new ones inline without leaving the table.

This improvement makes tagging faster, reduces extra clicks, and encourages more consistent use of tags — helping you keep content organized and easier to find.
