What Happens If a Global Ad Was Scheduled but No Newsletter Was Sent?

Question:
If a global advertisement was scheduled for yesterday but the newsletter wasn’t sent out, will it automatically appear in today’s newsletter?
We only send one newsletter per day and don’t use multiple lists or alternate editions.

Answer:
No — if a global promotion was scheduled for a specific day and no newsletter was sent, it will not automatically roll over into the next day’s send, either through automation or manual insertion. The promotion is considered expired once the scheduled date has passed without being published.

To include the promotion in an upcoming newsletter, you’ll need to:

  1. Update the scheduled run date to a current or future date.

  2. Re-approve the promotion, if needed.

  3. Ensure it’s assigned to a newsletter 

This process ensures the ad is re-eligible to run and doesn’t get skipped due to the original date lapse.
