Personalize images with Iterable data feeds
Edit in CMSOverview
Section titled “Overview”When you send newsletters through Iterable, you can set any image block to use a data-feed expression instead of a static uploaded image. Iterable resolves the expression per recipient at send time, so each reader sees the image that matches their feed data — while the editor canvas shows a static preview for layout review.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Add an image block to your newsletter
- Instead of uploading a static image, enter an Iterable data-feed expression
- Preview your layout in the editor — you’ll see a static preview
- Send your newsletter — Iterable resolves the expression for each recipient at send time, inserting the image URL that matches their feed data
Different subscribers can see completely different images in the same newsletter block.
What you’ll see in the editor
Section titled “What you’ll see in the editor”The editor canvas displays a static preview so you can review your layout normally. Personalized images only appear when recipients open their emails.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”This requires an active Iterable integration with data feeds configured for your account. You can also connect Iterable data feeds at the channel level so dynamic content is available in every newsletter automatically.
Example use cases
Section titled “Example use cases”- Product recommendations based on browsing history
- Region-specific imagery for local audiences
- Personalized charts or account-specific graphics
- Content tailored to subscriber preferences
