Collect reader feedback

Collect feedback directly from your subscribers to understand what they find valuable and uncover opportunities to improve your newsletters.

  1. Navigate to Settings or Channel Settings.
  2. Find Reader Feedback or Feedback Settings.
  3. Toggle Enable Reader Feedback to turn it on.
  4. Review the default feedback prompts (TODO: confirm what defaults exist).
  5. Save the settings.
  1. Open a newsletter draft (or create a new one).
  2. In the editor, click Add Block or Insert Block.
  3. Select Feedback or Ask for Feedback.
  4. Customize the block:
    • Prompt Text — e.g., “What did you think of this issue?”
    • Call-to-Action Button — e.g., “Share Feedback” or “Reply with Thoughts”
    • Placeholder Text — Suggestion text for subscribers
  5. Position the block in your email (typically near the end).
  6. Save the block.
  1. In the feedback block settings:
    • Allow subscribers to give feedback as Text, Rating, or both
    • TODO: confirm available feedback types
  2. Optionally add a follow-up question or prompt.
  3. Ensure the reply address is set correctly (feedback inbox).
  1. Review your newsletter with the feedback block.
  2. Schedule or send as normal.
  3. Subscribers will see the feedback prompt in their inbox.
  4. Their responses will arrive in your feedback inbox for review.
